Back to: Extras for “LEGO MindStorms EV3 Robots for Absolute Beginners”
In this tutorial you will learn about a system we use to set up walled circuits, arenas and mazes for use by LEGO MindStorms EV3 Robots. Because the system uses individual maze tiles, students don’t get bored because the mazes are easily re-configurable. The tiles are color-coded to assist following maze plans, and have the added advantage that they stack easily and compactly for storage and transport. The tiles are the same size as the rooms in the International RoboCup Junior Rescue B event, so these mazes could be used as the first of the many steps necessary to prepare a robot for either the A or B version of this RoboCup competition. This tutorial is the last of this four-part tutorial series about setting up walled and line and mazes suitable for LEGO MindStorms EV3 and NXT robots.
